Bio
Sydney-based Josh Cotton makes club music as Cotto, moving between speed garage, UK garage, breaks and hard house. His production draws from older UK dance sounds and contemporary Australian club music, with releases through labels including ec2a, Southpoint, Extra Spicy and Outhouse Sounds. On ec2a’s Been a Long Time EP, bass pressure and vocal cuts meet the organ-led garage of “Wasted (30,000ft Mix).” He also presents music through Offshore Recordings, whose recent releases include The Proximity Effect and Chasing the Dragon. Alongside his original productions, his own Bandcamp catalogue includes edits that carry the same interest in garage and harder club rhythms.
