Bio
Dominik André is a Berlin-based DJ, producer and label head who has spent more than a decade shaping dance floors with his distinctive blend of slow-burning electronica, quirky techno, mutant and lost trance gems. His style leans toward the odd and the raw, creating a flow that moves between steady pressure and sudden peaks.
As the founder of Subject To Restrictions Discs, he handles the artistic and organisational direction of the label, which has become a home for bands and producers inspired by 80s and 90s electronics while refusing rigid genre boundaries. In April 2026, he released his debut EP, co-written and co-produced with Marc Feldmann, featuring hypnotic techno that blends trance and progressive elements.
Following years as a resident at Club Zukunft in Zurich, Dominik has become a familiar name both locally and internationally. He has appeared at Salon Des Amateurs in Düsseldorf, Club OST and Sameheads in Berlin. He has also performed at festivals including Lethargy and Montreux Jazz Festival, in settings where his sets are appreciated for going their own way rather than following trends.
Beyond the club, Dominik hosts the monthly show Murky Rhythms Collide on Radio Raheem and has appeared on NTS and Rinse FM in London and Kiosk Radio in Brussels. These platforms allow him to explore a broader musical range that doesn't always fit club sets. His international activity also includes tours in Japan, further establishing him as a distinctive voice in electronic music.
