Afefe Iku is back with a trippy EP starting ‘AMYX’ which encompasses industrial and dub elements in a hypnotic flex. The second offering here, ‘the night before you came’ is a sonic pulsating electronic affair with haunting vocals and arpeggiating synths all slapped into place with whipping claps… definitely in its own lane. Closing out the EP is the title cut, ‘823’. A club jam guaranteed to start the party and set the tone. Stabs and piano are the base here, but the song features an actual party crowd recorded at a silent disco, this one gives that old school natural party scene element that begs you not to dance.
