Neema (meaning Grace in Swahili, Arabic, Persian and Hebrew), the debut EP from Duncan Evemy aka KickDr on Moom Sound , is Afro house channelling elements of acid, breakbeat and deep house. Duncan spent the 90’s dancing in fields & clubs across Europe , and a fter many years working in technology, had to retire in 2022 due to frontal lobe brain damage after years playing rugby. Now a gardener living in Sussex with his wife, daughter and Luna the labrador. Creativity is the cure! Laurent Garnier is Duncans most significant influence having been the first DJ he went to see at The Hacienda in the early 90’s. KickDr production s reflect everything from Afro house to techno, progressive house to breakbeat, ambient to acid, dub to jazz... the sole aim is to create music that can be listened to and enjoyed at anytime and Neema aims to do exactly that.
