Johnny Mandala aka MNDLA as a kid growing up was always around music.
My mother bought me a keyboard and some books but it was up to me to figure
it all out. In my teenage years, I played in band 4 years playing the saxophone.
It was only in the last 2 years that really triggered me to do something. I
wasn't happy with my current life situation that was leading to nowhere. So,
One day I was walking with my dog at night and said out loud “What should I do
with my life” I laughed/teared & said ‘What? music?'. Literally several shooting
stars came towards the ground about 15 feet away from me. So I finally decided
just to go all-in with producing and Dj'ing. Live eat sleep produce.

Forever In Time was inspired by classics from the past.

I feel love from 1977 with the groovy Moog baseline, It's so iconic. that's what
set the tone for “Disko Bunny”. I just didn't want to bring a song back from the
past but include the sounds of minimal that I've been so fascinated by on vinyl.
Also included Acid bass to “Drift Of Time” which was another fun iconic tb-303
sound of the 80's. Funk, jazz & the current sound of minimal are all throughout
the EP.

Final note whether you like them or not ‘Around the world' by Daft Punk is so simple
but it made so much impact on the dance floor. Funky baseline, simple drum groove
with a 3 word Vocal, that timeless track is what inspired “Forever Be”. Enjoy!
