Since 1997 when Kasey Taylor founded Vapour Recordings, the label has gone on and forged itself an enviable reputation, not only as one of Australia’s leading independent dance labels, but the worlds too.

When you feast your ears upon a new Vapour Recordings Ep, think of it as forward thinking dance music. If there is one defining feature of a Vapour record, it’s that it is just a little ahead of its time. The sort of tune that the average person might put back on the shelf, and then later on hear it out in a club and kick themselves because they didn’t realise how damn good it really was at first listen, and because they knew they had just let a gem of a tune slip right through their fingers.

July 2011 saw the label reach it’s landmark 100th release. The clock was wound back for this one choosing artists from the past, present and future to remix the back catalogue. The package contained some fantastic names, with remixes from the likes of Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Luis Junior, Jamie Stevens, Peter Horrevorts, Nick Warren, Dousk, Rodskeez, Fiord and many more.

There are DJs in the world who have vision. Those who can pick up a sound before it becomes popular and break it to the masses. Names like John Digweed & Hernan Cattaneo spring to mind, and Vapour releases have always found their way into the record boxes and charts of these luminaries. They are attributes that Kasey Taylor has also.

It isn’t easy to turn heads in the underground dance music scene when you are a small record label operating from the ass end of the universe! It’s harder to slip promos to DJs and radio station reps, magazine editors and so on. There’s seldom a chance to drop your own track in front of the big name DJs to prove just how effective your music can be. With that in mind, it’s a real credit that Vapour Recordings has earned a spot as premiere labels on the global market, commanding the attention of all the industry heavy weights through nothing more than releasing quality tunes. No huge advertising budgets, no massive PR campaigns, no industry schmoozing, no shit talking, no sales driven drum rolls, no poxy synth lines – Just a talented collective of like minded artists doing it well from around the globe.

Movement Recordings is an indepedent electronic music label originally from Thessaloniki, Greece, part of Movement MMM Ltd based in Cyprus.

Movement Recordings was found in 2008 by Tash and former partner Stage Van H as part of  DJM Productions based in Thessaloniki GR, an imprint responsible for various successful events of high-quality electronic music since 2005. The aim was to release fresh and innovating sounds establishing Movement Recordings in the international music industry, after numerous top releases from reknown & promising Producers.

Since then more than 200 Digital & Physical Releases came out, varying from Electronica, Deep / Organic House, Progressive House, to Melodic Techno by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Jerome Isma-Ae, Petar Dundov, Guy Mantzur, D-Nox, Tone Depth, Dousk, Cid Inc, Nikola Gala, Spektre, Magdalena, Jonas Saalbach, Sahar Z, Khen, ao.. till today's artist roster !
