“The captain makes good on his threat and shoots the cannon into the hold, literally silencing the slaves' songs...” Tamango Records is the imprint of Italian acclaimed DJ and producer Yaya. The name is inspired by the myth of Tamango, who - according to the legend - was the first African slave to fight for his freedom, perfectly fitting with the no-boundaries style of the label. Born in Berlin in 2016 and captained by Yaya himself, the label’s aim is to spread its rainbow vibes from the soul between unusual and curious records, parties, and adventures.
