What is it in music we like? Is it rhythm? Melodies? The groove, or that part where you just can't stop dancing to it? Or is it the feeling that you are totally in touch with the song; or that subtle unexpected surprise when the beat finally drops? For Jaksa Pavicevic, it's all of that... and more! What makes a song really stand out to him is emotion. With his label he tries to bring us the finest house and techno music- crossing borders, genre-blending.

Born in 2005, 'A Must Have' built itself a nice foundation. 2007 kicked off the first few releases by head honcho Jaksa Pavicevic, Tom D Vox and Sydney Roy, followed by remixes from Gui Sheffer aka Tropical Highlight and Sandji. The label soon drew attention. By summer 2008 the label was brought under Proton Management, kicking off a new era for the label. Soon 'A Must Have' became a firm base for young, upcoming producers like Marsbeing, Bollo and Shane Robinson.

2010 saw the first album released on the label. Soundprank's 'Endgame', a 12 tracker debut album by this talented Canadian, gained wide attention from artists like Chloe Harris, John Digweed, Nick Warren and Taho. By this year, Jaksa's unique eye for talent also brought some interesting artists like Leigh Myles and Ju.N to the label. While their original work may not be what one might expect from a dance label, a great team of remixers like Pacco & Rudy B, Qbical, Stefan Vincent, Royal Sapien and Sandji will indulge us with some rather tasty releases.

'A Must Have'; a rather bold name for a label, stands for Jaksa's personal experience when listening to new unsigned music. When it's good music, he simply must release it... And it's exactly this attitude that makes his label's releases truly A Must Have!
