Paradise Circus Music was founded in mid-2020 by Romanian DJ/producer Claudiu Gazdaru Cristian, known professionally as Dubphone. Conceived as a creative platform for his refined tastes in minimal techno and microhouse, the label debuted with a clear artistic identity: deep, dub-influenced grooves with an emphasis on subtle textures and underground appeal.
The label’s first and only release under Dubphone’s direction was the EP The Road Of The Dub, released in December 2020. It featured the original title track alongside remixes by Sueezo and Pizzicatto, showcasing a tasteful blend of minimalist sound design and rhythmic sophistication. While brief, this release encapsulated the label's potential and Dubphone’s vision for quality, curated electronic music.
Tragically, Claudiu passed away in mid-2023. His passing was deeply felt by those in the underground music scene who had come to admire both his artistry and humble nature. As a tribute to his legacy, Paradise Circus Music remains a symbol of his creative spirit, dedication, and musical integrity.
Looking ahead, Paradise Circus Music is undergoing a meaningful evolution. The label is being integrated into the Vandalism Musique Group, a broader label collective owned by Claudiu’s cousin, Gabriel Tudor. Under Gabriel’s direction, the label will not only preserve its electronic foundations but also expand its artistic horizon.
Paradise Circus Music’s future will embrace a more vocal-oriented direction, exploring genres such as blues, soul-infused electronica, and vocal-driven deep tech. This progression honors Claudiu’s openness to musical experimentation while reflecting Gabriel’s vision of bringing emotional depth and human expression to the catalog.
