The year was 1997, and the great tree of electronic dance music continued to expand and split into various branches and their native tribes. Psychedelic trance was in full swing, with its staccato kick drums, high BPMs, and consciousness-expanding synth patterns. To some, it was more than a music style - it represented a way of life. Thus it was for Emok and Banel, two young Danish DJ/producers who fully leaned in and came together in Copenhagen to establish what would become one of the longest lasting and most universally respected labels in the psy-trance underground. Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Captain Hook, just some of the superstars of the scene that have been loyal mainstays on the label's release calendar over the years, but never detracting from the label's ethos of developing new artists through unity, collaboration, and steadfast support. In 2022, Emok and Banel still wake up every day thinking about their core values of connection, passion and ultimately a zest for life. And of course: heart-racing, foot-stomping, and mind-expanding beats!

Spinal Fusion, musician of Indian origin, sound engineer, started to produce music at the age of seventeen. Always had an ear for music and sounds since the age of 10 which literally excited him! But it wasn’t until he really started experimenting in 2008 and feeling the psychedelic atmosphere that he discovered he wanted to share and entertain the people with.

It was in 2012, in a wake of giving a platform to release his creation, the idea of Profound Records was formulated with the help his partner Radhika Bhanot .Since then Profound Records has not only given him the freedom that he needed but also has been supporting the upcoming generations of talented musicians and DJ's along with the prominent names in a profoundly way.

From these humble beginning, Profound Records has been able to establish his name among the prominent international record labels  with an increasing number of followers & a solid reputation which was also marked by #37 position in 2014 by Beatport tracker on Top PsyTrance Labels list.

Profound Records has been constantly evolving and is always on move not for just another release but for productive and new genuine artists that would like to build a long relationship with us.
