METODI’s production career began with curiosity and a borrowed glimpse of software. The Sofia artist, also credited as Metodi Hristov, has recalled seeing a music program at a friend’s home at sixteen or seventeen, persuading his family to help him obtain a first computer, and then spending days and nights experimenting in FL Studio. DJing came next because he needed a way to carry that music to an audience. His sound moved from tech house toward harder techno, but he treats genre changes as part of artistic growth rather than a break with the past. Set About Music, the label he co-founded with Gallya, gave that evolution a permanent outlet; METODI says his signing test is simple—would he play the track himself?
