Biografia
Andy Whitby approaches hard dance as something to reshape in the moment. Scratches, acapellas, quick cuts and improvised combinations have long been part of his sets, turning familiar tracks into material for a performance rather than simply playing them in sequence. That hands-on approach also shaped his compilation work: he has described rehearsing cue points, loops and edits before recording a mix live on multiple CD players.
From the hard-house circuit of Sundissential and Hard House Academy, the UK DJ and producer developed a career that spans international touring, Ministry of Sound's Euphoria compilations and his own productions. Bounce and vocal-led rave music have become central to that work. His Bounce Heaven podcast gives the same approach a regular broadcast home, while releases through Bounce Generation connect his DJ identity with the music he makes. Across these settings, his emphasis remains on pace, recognisable hooks and the possibilities of mixing one track into another.
