Biografia

Hailing from the Midwest US, Jon Hester is an embodiment of the movements, sounds, and attitude that have continued to push techno and house forward. His energy and enthusiasm brought him from beginnings in Chicago and Minneapolis to his present home base of Berlin. As a DJ, producer, musician, and dancer with music released on labels including Rekids, Klockworks, and Tresor, he has received worldwide recognition, performing at clubbing institutions such as Berghain and Tresor Berlin, Rex Club Paris, fabric London, Shelter Amsterdam, Hï Ibiza, Output New York, Crobar Buenos Aires, TOYTOY Johannesburg, Faust Seoul, and Vent Tokyo. In recent years he has broadened his release catalog via his current label project, Participation, an outlet for his own productions as well as collaborations with artists across the global techno and house community, including Cassy, Tadeo, DJ Shufflemaster, Joel Mull, The Advent, Exos, Lady Starlight, and William Arist. Hester continues to build on the expression he first connected with in the nineties, with new projects, new music, and new dance floors on the horizon.
