Biografia

Ivy Lab connect drum and bass with halftime production and electronic hip-hop. The London project began as a trio of Sabre, Stray and Halogenix, releasing through Critical Music from 2013. After Halogenix left in 2018, Sabre and Stray continued as a duo, drawing more deeply on the hip-hop influences both had brought into the group. That shift was not simply a move away from drum and bass: the pair described it as a return to earlier musical interests, with space to explore different rhythms and tempos. Their 20/20 LDN label and club events helped give those ideas a shared setting, extending from London to the United States. In January 2026, Sabre and Stray announced that the year would be Ivy Lab's last, with further solo work to follow.
