Biografia

Kaio Barssalos first encountered electronic music at ten, watching rave aftermovies while living in the interior of São Paulo state. His debut release followed in 2013, but he later stepped back from publishing until his direction felt clearer. In a 2020 interview, the Brazilian producer said most of his tracks were made inside the computer, with a MicroKorg used when he wanted a different texture and Soundtoys Decapitator appearing throughout his sessions. A later interview described a similarly instinctive method: he avoids composing to fit a label brief and lets the track determine its own route. That approach has carried his techno through Planet Rhythm, Suara, NECHTO, Illegal Alien and KYSH. Releases such as the Planet Rhythm records Synergy and Cryptic Rhythm connect that earlier phase to a 2026 run including You Know on OECUS and Origem on Truncate.
