Biografia

Paperclip is the Moscow producer Pavel Popovich, whose work in neurofunk extends from his own records to a label and a production school. He runs Paperfunk Recordings and founded Neuropunk Academy, bringing the detailed craft of drum and bass into a setting where developing producers can learn together. Paperfunk's Prototypes and Onlyfunks compilations give that wider community a recording outlet alongside his collaborations with artists such as T.Mas and Dereck. Teaching is part of his creative practice, too. Sueta and Neurofunk Forever, released through VTO Records, grew out of sounds and demonstrations made during production courses. Between mastering assignments and students' work, he continues to find time for his own tracks, sometimes beginning with a quick groove sketched during a lunch break. His different roles keep the studio connected to the people learning from it.
