Biografia

Chocolate Puma is a Dutch DJ/producer duo consisting of René ter Horst and Gaston Steenkist, also known as DJ Zki & Dobre. They are major figures in the Dutch dance scene, having released hundreds of tracks and remixes under various aliases. Their career began in 1991, and they achieved global fame with ‘Give It Up’ under the alias The Good Men in 1992. The track topped the US Dance Chart and reached #5 on the UK Singles Chart. After experimenting with different names, including Jark Prongo and René et Gaston, they introduced their final alias, Chocolate Puma, in 2001. Their debut single under this name, ‘I Wanna Be U’, became a worldwide hit, reaching #6 on the UK Singles Chart. Following the success of ‘Always And Forever’ in 2005, they decided to focus solely on Chocolate Puma. Over the years, they’ve released tracks like ‘Scrub The Ground’, ‘Lullaby’, ‘You Are My Life’, and ‘Step Back’ on labels such as Axtone, Defected, and Spinnin’. Recently, their music has been rediscovered and remixed by artists like Adam Beyer and Nicole Moudaber, bringing their classics back into the spotlight. They continue to perform at major festivals and top clubs worldwide, including Hï Ibiza and Tomorrowland Belgium.
