Markus Homm understood the dancefloor long before he entered a DJ booth. Born in Romania and based in Germany, he spent twenty-eight years in competitive Latin dance, turned professional in 2000 and represented Germany at world and European championships until 2013. Homm has explained that music first offered an escape from the discipline of daily training, but dancing also taught him to analyse rhythm physically—a skill he carried into production. His studio work favours dubby space, crisp percussion and grooves that unfold without hurry. That language matured through a long relationship with Bondage Music, beginning with the 2014 “Columbian Blue” EP and leading to his debut album “After Dark” in 2022. Homm also collaborates regularly with Gorge and Mihai Popoviciu. His dual life as dancer and producer is not a biographical curiosity; it is the clearest explanation for music built around balance, control and bodily momentum.
