Biografia

Before Guti became known for improvising house music onstage, he had already lived several musical lives. The Argentine artist trained as a pianist, played jazz from an early age and spent years in the rock band Jovenes Pordioseros. By 2006 he was looking for a new chapter; electronic production gave him a way to work alone, and meeting Loco Dice helped connect that material to Desolat. Guti subsequently left Argentina for Europe and developed a live approach that treats club music as a jam rather than a fixed playback sequence. His first artist album for Desolat, Patio de Juegos, placed piano, Latin rhythmic memory and jazz phrasing inside a house-and-techno framework. Later projects continued that exchange between acoustic musicianship and machines.
