SINC is the long-running electronic music project of Italian producer Gianluca Lorusso. Formed in 2003 as a trio, the project gradually evolved into Lorusso’s solo identity, with a sound moving between dark techno and the more soulful side of house. Over the years, SINC has released music on labels including Saved Records, Safari Electronique, VIVa MUSiC, and BEAT Music Fund. One of the project’s first major international releases came in 2009 with a remix of Mark Broom’s “Jackpot” for Saved Records. The following year, “Ex Bitch” was selected by Anthony Rother for his Love Parade set. Further releases followed through the early 2010s, including “Ramayana” on VIVa MUSiC and “New Day,” which was named a finalist in the Deep House category of the 2012 Beatport Music Awards and received extensive club and radio play internationally. During this period, SINC’s music found support from DJs including Dubfire, Sasha, John Digweed, Luciano, Joris Voorn, Steve Lawler, Stacey Pullen, Paco Osuna, Pig&Dan, Erick Morillo, Desyn Masiello, Stefano Noferini, DJ Pierre, The Shapeshifters, Benjamin Fröhlich, and Eli & Fur. “Ramayana” later returned in 2023 through BEAT Music Fund, alongside the original remixes by Carlo Lio and Darius Syrossian. In recent years, Lorusso has been revisiting and reorganizing the SINC catalog while developing new material, beginning a new chapter for the project.
