Maty Owl is a storyteller who chose sound as his language. A Brazilian artist and multi-instrumentalist, he transforms memories, emotions, and imagined landscapes into melodies that invite listeners into his sonic world. His music is both a reflection of personal experiences and an exploration of where nostalgia and cinematic soundscapes meet.
Maty’s journey with music began at the age of 11 with classical guitar, and since then, it has become inseparable from his very being. Beyond producing, he is also a visual artist who, through motion design, creates immersive settings that expand the emotions of each track.
With releases on labels like Anjunadeep Explorations and his own imprint Soul Monument, his creations have been supported by DJs such as James Grant, Jody Wisternoff, Hernan Cattaneo, Above & Beyond, and many others, bringing his sonic narrative to stages and dance floors around the world.
