Biografia

Dope Ammo connects jungle and drum & bass with the records and parties of the early rave era. Known as Coco, he began with London's Drunken Masters crew in the 1990s, moving from promotion into production and work with Micky Finn and Aphrodite. He continued solo as Dope Ammo in 2008, developing both his own music and Dope Ammo Records. Reggae, jungle and jump-up remain important to his sound, alongside a readiness to revisit familiar songs. His remixes include Baby D's Let Me Be Your Fantasy and Alan Walker's Faded. Together, the album created with Moondance, brought artists including Ray Keith, Slipmatt and Nookie into a shared conversation with rave history. Glastonbury appearances in 2024 and 2025, work with vocalist Elisabeth Troy and production for games show the range of his activity beyond that recording project.
