Biografia
Klas Lindblad has been composing electronic music for more than two decades now. His mission has always been to conjure up warm atmospheres, inviting grooves and heady soundscapes that encase listeners and take them to another place, and he has done so in many different ways.
He never fails to cook up compelling moods and grooves on labels like Studio Barnhus, Pokerflat, My Favourite Robot or Bedrock whether working solo, or his numerous collaborations with Ewan Pearson, Holmar Filipsson , Henrik Schwarz or Stelios Vassiloudis to name a few.
His collaborations as Freestyle Man with another Finnish legend, Jimi Tenor, appeared on Studio Barnhus and Mule Musiq to critical acclaim and new releases are planned with more of the warm Scandinavian house sounds. With a new release on Studio Barnhus in early 2021 the duo got none other than Ricardo Villalobos to remix the title track 'Forgotten Planet Awakens'.
When not composing, Klas is running his mixing and mastering services at his own Blackhead Studios in Berlin Mitte. In the last years he has been taking Michael Mayer, Anja Schneider, Jonas Saalbach, Blond:ish, Hot Since 82 and Dauwd to new levels with a masterful analogue mixing approach and is mastering for labels like All Day I Dream, Knee Deep In Sound, Mobilee, Kompakt and many others.
A quarter of a century after starting out, Klas is as essential to the electronic scene as ever.
