Ice hockey came first: En:vy has told UKF that he played from the age of seven to eighteen in Austria, including national-team tournaments in North America, and only began producing in late 2016, a year after a drum and bass night in Vienna caught his attention. He later moved to Bristol to study electronic music production at BIMM. His earliest records surfaced in 2020, among them the Push Through EP on Flexout Audio, and Critical Music has carried more of his work than any other label since, including the five-track Neo EP in February 2023. The Austrian-born producer started his own label, Dial 1 Music, in 2026 and opened it with Medieval, part of a turn toward 140bpm material, dubstep and UK garage he described to the same magazine.
