Bio

Javi Bora’s house music is inseparable from Ibiza, where years as a Space resident taught him how groove behaves across a long room and a long night. He later turned that experience into Too Many Rules, a label with a playful name but a precise musical identity. Bora has said the idea came while touring Australia and New Zealand, frustrated by closing restrictions and police presence on dancefloors; the imprint became his argument for more freedom, mutual respect and feel-good house. Its records draw openly on disco, funk, soul, jazz and African music rather than treating club music as a closed system. Bora’s catalogue also includes work for Robsoul, Knee Deep In Sound and Nothing Else Matters, alongside collaborations with artists such as Roger Sanchez and Vibe Killers.
