Bio

Levela's drum and bass connects the impact of jump-up with darker, more technical production. The Brighton artist developed much of his early catalogue through his own Multi Function label, while his four-deck DJ sets have taken him on tours of Australia and the Americas as well as across Europe. Exhale marked a significant change in direction in 2018. Made during an open-ended experiment in the studio, it attracted support from Noisia and encouraged him to explore beyond the sound with which he had become associated. Work for Critical Music and the Realities EP on Vision followed, without abandoning jump-up's place in his sets. Multi Function also became an outlet for a broader range of drum and bass, accompanied by Brighton club nights and practical help for developing producers. His independent releases continue through LVL Music, including the 2025 album It Is What It Is.
