Viels explores techno through layered sound and the sustained connection between a DJ and a room. Based in Milan, he co-runs End Of Perception with Francesco della Sala and has helped build the city's Acquario party as an organiser and resident. Releases on Warm Up, Non Series, Semantica and Edit Select place his work among artists drawn to techno's deeper, more exploratory possibilities.
His involvement began unusually: Christian Zingales' book Techno introduced him to the culture as a teenager. The listening became production, with a first EP on Initial Berlin in 2015 and subsequent work for Dynamic Reflection. Collaborations with Michal Wolski extend that practice, while the label and Acquario give his ideas a continuing place in Milan's club life.
