Bio

Collioure is the music project of Japanese producer Takahiro Nakamura, named after the sun-drenched Mediterranean town in southern France. Inspired by its vivid colors and artistic heritage, Collioure transforms emotion, nostalgia, and light into a distinctive blend of electronic music. Since debuting as a remixer in 2003 and releasing his first album "Colors of the Spirit" in 2005, Nakamura has continually evolved his sound—from early chillout and downtempo roots toward a more rhythm-driven fusion of house, nu-disco, and electronic pop. His recent work draws further inspiration from New Jack Swing, UK Garage, and the sophisticated pop textures of the ’80s and ’90s, reshaping those influences through a contemporary electronic lens. At the heart of Collioure’s music is a balance between movement and melancholy: warm grooves, melodic detail, sensual atmosphere, and an unmistakable sense of nostalgia. In 2026, Collioure released his seventh studio album, "Sensual, Romantic, Blue", a record that brings these elements together while opening a new chapter in his evolving musical journey.
