Saqib is a creative force. A DJ’s DJ, a deep digger of musical gems, a producer of equally unique gems, and a community builder.
First and foremost a guitarist, bass player and drummer who grew up in the world of rock and metal from a young age in Pakistan, Saqib is a producer whose tracks transcend genre, era, hype, and scene. They speak the language of dance. With close to a hundred releases over the past decade he has slowly created a sound unto himself and a devoted following. It is a sound that crosses boundaries between house, techno, indie dance, hip hop, Bollywood, Lahore, Brooklyn, Detroit and Berlin mixed with some secret sauce known only to the man himself.
Moving to New York City to play shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the world, Saqib has shared the decks and earned plays from artists like Danny Tenaglia, Jamie Jones, Adam Ten, Blond:ish, Adriatique, Mita Gami, Bedouin, Lee Burridge, Robag Wruhme and so many more. His records, released on labels including Abracadabra, Maccabi House, Kindisch, Flying Circus, Get Physical and Sol Selectas reflect a spectrum of musical sensibility that can only be described as UNIQUE… earning him a spot as one of of 1001 Tracklists’ Top 100 Producers and a regular spot in the Beatport top 10 in multiple genres.
In 2022 he started his own label ‘Beats On Time’, a Brooklyn-based indie dance imprint uplifting local and international artists alike.
