DODominican Republic

Bio

Ezel launched Bayacou Records in 2017 and has made it a central home for his own work: more than thirty-five releases carry a BYC catalogue number, running from the label's first year to a 2026 single with Earl W. Green. The Dominican producer presents the imprint as a home for Afro-spiritual house, a thread that reaches back to his apprenticeship under Osunlade, whose Yoruba Records has also carried his music. Singer Rona Ray is a recurring collaborator; their fourteen-track album Take Me Home arrived on Bayacou in February 2024. Beyond his own label, Ezel has produced and remixed for Quantize Recordings, Ocha Records, Local Talk and Sub_Urban.
