Bio

Pezzner makes house music in which percussion and unexpected sounds share the foreground. The Seattle producer, Dave Pezzner, combines dance-floor rhythm with abstract textures, moving between house, techno and more experimental territory. His solo work reached a wider audience through Freerange in 2008, with Other Lover finding its way into sets by Laurent Garnier and John Digweed. Releases on Get Physical, Dirtybird and Crosstown Rebels followed, while his live performances and DJ sets have taken him to fabric in London, Womb in Tokyo and Dirtybird Campout. He founded Hunt & Gather in 2015 as a home for rhythmically adventurous club music. His album Title Track explores the space between house, techno and ambient, giving that curiosity a longer format. Beyond dance music, he also works as a composer and sound designer for Seattle's Can Can Cabaret, writing across genres for theatrical productions.
