Bio
Andres Volta’s work extends beyond DJing and production into the community around electronic music. A co-founder of Imsoniac Music, he has described Ecuador’s scene as being sustained by local collectives, pointing to Imsoniac’s combination of a small music academy and event organisation. His own appearances have included stages in Ecuador and Argentina, sharing bills with Alci, Camea and John Acquaviva.
As a producer, Volta favours melodic space and hypnotic rhythm, with work connected to Mon.Nu, Weirdtracx and Haliaeetus. Pantera introduced him to Dialtone Records with a focus on deeper, organic rhythms, while My Heart followed on Yet Records. Together, these releases and his collective work place him within a network where studio music, DJ sets and support for a local electronic community develop alongside one another.
