Marc Spence doesn’t follow trends—he bends them. Hailing from Birmingham’s raw and rebellious underground, Marc has carved out a sound that fuses grit with groove—equal parts house, bass, and tech—crafted for dancers, not algorithms. A self-taught artist with an instinct for the unexpected, his work has landed across respected imprints like Dirtybird, Club Sweat, and more recently, Ellum Audio through his collaborative project Ilgot’n’Gane.
With backing from forward-thinkers like Claude VonStroke and Maceo Plex, Marc has become known for his finely tuned sense of tension, release, and most importantly—groove. His upcoming debut solo album Time and Place, due summer 2025, is both a statement and a philosophy—an ode to the idea that all music has its moment, and that the true art of a DJ lies in knowing exactly when that is.
