Biografía
Airbase is the principal project of Gothenburg producer and DJ Jezper Lorné, formerly known as Jezper Söderlund. Melody has remained his guiding interest since he began making electronic music with tracker software in the mid-1990s. His trance draws inspiration from classical music, folk and jazz as well as the electronic sounds that first drew him in.
Emotion and Genie introduced Airbase in 2002, followed by work including Escape, Denial and the album We Might Fall. Beyond his releases and remixes, Lorné helped create trance.nu, designing the early community site's visual identity. His performances have included Trance Energy, Tomorrowland and Luminosity, while other aliases gave him room to pursue different musical directions.
Fatherhood eventually prompted a break from production. His 2026 return with Everything Else Could Wait reflects that change in priorities: music remains important, but now develops at a pace shaped by the rest of his life.
