Biografía
Shawn Jackson is a Chicago-based DJ and producer whose deep-tech and tech-house work is built around percussion, bass and the response of a dancefloor. He began producing in 1995, drawing early inspiration from Florida breaks and Josh Wink, and has since developed a catalogue across house, techno and related club styles. In the studio he places particular weight on the relationship between kick drum and bassline, while live audiences remain a source of ideas. His career also includes sustained work supporting other producers: he acquired Tres14 Music in 2015 and Minordub in 2016, alongside his Driven Recordings project. AFTRPRTY became a further outlet for his own work and close collaborators in 2023. His Higher Ground Radio show brings that selection work to an international network of stations.
