Biografía
Paul Yoon was born in 1980 in Seoul, South Korea. moved to Los Angeles in 1997 to study abroad and attend high school. He was inspired by the music of Drum'n bass, Trance, and House at the RAVE clubs around LA and started making music in his bedroom. In 2000, he returned to Korea and worked as a producer of progressive trance, tribal house, and electronic music in the underground scene. At the time, there were very few people doing electronic music in Korea, so he was a pioneer. For his commercial career, he worked as a major K-Pop producer and in the commercial music industry. In a unique career move, he served as the executive music director for the opening ceremony of F1 2010 KOREA, the first race to be held in Korea in 2010. He also submitted music to gaming companies for 16 years and has had numerous hits and has many fans in East Asia and South America. He has the same way of life since he started music 26 years ago: “I make money from popular music to make art”. His name, Deepdrome, reflects the rough and tumble life story he's been living, which is abstracted in the Dub Techno world. Unlike Paul Bazooka's music, which was full of smiles, Deepdrome's music is serious and shows no teeth. He currently resides in Gwangju, a city full of mountains and water, where he draws a lot of musical inspiration from the natural environment.
