Biografía

Golpe is the hard-techno and schranz project of Czech DJ and producer Václav Bareš. His story began behind the decks in 2003, with local parties leading to an appearance at Apokalypsa in 2007 and, later, stages across Europe and South America. The intensity of those performances is central to his identity: his agency presents him through the relationship between forceful music, an animated presence behind the mixer and a crowd ready to respond. His partnership with Svetec has also taken that approach to Awakenings. Alongside releases for hard-techno labels including Audiocode and Cannibal Society, Bareš has explored a separate production direction as Broken Robot, keeping that alias distinct from the expectations attached to Golpe. It gives a wider view of a musician whose best-known name remains firmly associated with the harder end of techno.
