Parsec (UK) brings minimal-house arrangements into contact with UK garage rhythms. The Cardiff artist records for labels including Seven Dials and HedZup, while his own Inter Records gives the music an independent outlet. Productions with James Dexter add a collaborative side to that work.
His Rinsah release on Welsh label Rarebit makes the range particularly clear: a measured house groove on Dimcode sits beside the title track's two-step rhythm and Reese bass. Elsewhere, the Gaizer EP leaves more space around percussion and chords. Those contrasts place Parsec between the economy of minimal production and the low-end movement of garage, with both forms available within the same musical identity.
