Biografía

David Hopperman’s house music has grown out of a long life in clubs, from early DJ work in southern France and a period in Los Angeles to a residency at Saint-Tropez’s Les Caves du Roy that began in 2010. His musical reference points reach from funk musicians George Clinton and Roger Troutman to Daft Punk and the deeper end of European club music. Production brought collaborations with Nick Waters and Stéphane Karl, releases for Armada, Spinnin’ and Afrojack’s Wall Recordings, and an appearance at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. More recent work explores Afro house through Adama Records, which he co-founded with BoucleDor. That partnership extends a career shaped by DJing, collaboration and a continuing interest in different forms of house, rather than a single fixed production formula.
