Biografía
Nhii makes electronic music with an emphasis on exploration and connection, moving through organic house, melody and more club-focused grooves. His work spans production and DJing, with sound design treated as a musical experiment rather than a fixed recipe. A track might grow from a modular-synth jam or from an everyday sound: for Sandstone, he recorded brushes against stone and turned them into percussion.
Alongside releases on Rebellion and One Tribe, he is a partner and A&R at Sounds of Khemit, working with other artists as well as developing his own music. His DJ approach favours giving ideas time to unfold and adjusting to the room. Collaboration also reaches beyond the booth: La Bodega began with Dominican vocalist J Feliz's improvised performance at BeatRetreat, which Nhii developed into a record supporting the InspireDR education project. The studio process and the people around it are closely connected in his work.
