Bio

SYM's techno draws on 1990s club music, combining forceful rhythms and darker sequences with house influences. Since starting the project in 2013, he has developed it through residencies in Italy, Liverpool, Manchester and Ibiza, before establishing himself in Barcelona. His performances there include MOOG and The Garage of The Bass Valley, with wider bookings reaching Berlin, London and Hong Kong. In Barcelona he founded Sociedad Groove, bringing together events and a label dedicated to groove-led techno and emerging artists. His own releases, including the H-R-Z collaboration Predestinato and Against All Odds, sit alongside work for Children Of Tomorrow, Combine Audio and Special Series. The different outlets reflect his stated interest in developing the sound without confining it to one narrow version of techno.
