Biografía

Marcel Fenkart and Marco Glabonjat, alias “Der Effekt,” are well-known figures in the music scene of the Rhine Valley in Austria. A turning point in their career came in 2000, and since then they have gained popularity among fans. Today, they are recognized for their first-class electronic music, which they describe as “experimental electronic club music” with a groovy aggressiveness. In 2006, the duo began producing their own tracks with Frankfurt-based creative producers Thomas Pogadl and Andreas Krämer, having previously performed under the DJ name “Maxxis and Overdose.” Over the next two years, several tracks were released under various labels and compilations, including Drizzly Rec. X-Plosive Hard Techno. The track “Help You” gained attention as the compilation hymn of “Meet Me at the Love Parade 08,” marking the first release and public appearance of “Der Effekt.” In 2009, they started producing tracks on their own label, Effekt Records, which featured releases by international performers such as Mangelt, Mike Wall, Pitt Larsen, Andrea Giuliani, and Luca Rosetti. In 2010, a collaboration with Mikroton Switzerland began, introducing a new dimension to event booking and record label management. One notable project from this partnership is the party series “Nightstars,” which quickly gained recognition. The events have featured prominent DJs such as Lützenkirchen (Great Stuff), Toni Rios (Cocoon), Lee van Dowski (Cadenca Rec.), and Chris Tietjen (Cocoon).
