Oliver Rosemann’s techno grew inside Leipzig’s late-1990s club world, among illegal parties, the Distillery and 10/40, while records from Dance Mania, Plus 8 and Communiqué supplied a wider map. A self-taught producer, he has said that experimentation—musical, technological and even scientific—is the habit that links his work. His studio moves freely between hardware such as the Elektron Digitone, SH-01A and Neutron and software including Serum and Massive X. Rosemann founded Recorded Things in 2021 with Sebastian Rothermel to release a personal, hard and hypnotic view of techno without binding the label to one narrow genre. Solo records have appeared on MORD, PoleGroup, Semantica and Warm Up, while studio partnerships have opened other routes: Pfirter became a recurring collaborator after they began producing together in 2019. In 2026 Rosemann and Sleeparchive issued the four-track Sunken EP on Recorded Things, extending his preference for slowly shifting systems, physical formats and functional tension.
