Biografía

Jordan Postrel told Decoded Magazine in 2018 that his main machine at the time was an Analog Rytm, that he was deeply invested in Ableton and whatever outboard was to hand, and that everyone should own a Moog filter. The distinctive capitalisation of m.O.N.R.O.E., his middle name, is designed to make it memorable. To Gray Area he described the rule beneath his work: he judges everything from a DJ's perspective, by how it will land on a dancefloor, and finds that ideas go stale when he stays in the studio too long. The Miami producer began using Ableton at eighteen and took up piano lessons at twenty-two. His first full release, the 2014 Don't Flex EP for VIVa Music, was made with Daniel Dubb; Get Physical Music has since become a recurring home for his records.
