Biografía
Diego Grasso brings a broad listening background to Hypnotic Progressions, moving between melodic progressive house, deep house and more understated forms of electronic music. He began DJing at seventeen, with downtempo, trip-hop and acid jazz alongside club styles, and grew up around his father's jazz, soul and funk collection. Releases for Balkan Connection, ICONYC and Oh So Coy reflect the progressive and house sides of his work. On Dustpan's Basement Nights, he paired deep-house bass weight with spoken-word references to New York's early block-party culture. His mixing remains an important part of the project, with guest selections for Personal Belongings on Pure Ibiza Radio as well as his own recorded sets.
