Biografía

Luis Erre joins the percussive drive of tribal house to a songwriter’s interest in voices and emotional range. Born in Valencia, Venezuela, and based in Guadalajara, Mexico, he began behind the decks at Babylon before developing residencies and a wider touring career. Club work remains central, but his practice also extends into remixing, composition and musical production for live singers. That range has brought him into collaboration with artists including Tony Moran, Deborah Cooper, Beth Sacks and Jeanie Tracy. He has made official remixes for Karina and served as musical producer for a Rocío Banquells concert at Mexico City’s Teatro Metropólitan. These projects place his electronic production skills in different performance settings without abandoning their rhythmic foundation. His album Destino Paralelo explores further connections with pop, rock, new age and symphonic music. Alongside that broader palette, his work with vocalist Coquette returns to the bold vocals and forceful percussion of the circuit dancefloor. The movement between those settings is an important part of Erre’s identity: a DJ and producer whose music can function as both a club record and a vehicle for a singer.
