Alan Backdrop is the long-running project of a producer whose sound has consistently gravitated toward the hypnotic, deep, and repetitive dimensions of Techno, subtly weaving in elements of dub, ambient, trance, and experimental electronics, always grounded in a solid, functional framework.
Rather than following trends, his work focuses on atmosphere, groove, and gradual transformation, shaped through extensive studio jam sessions and a hands-on approach to sound design.
His music has been released on respected and forward-thinking labels such as Prologue, Mental Modern, Semantica and трип, and recently on Space Trax (SPT011), where his sound explores a psychedelic and trance-infused dimension while maintaining its deep, hypnotic core.
Alongside his label work, he has cultivated an independent path through a trilogy of self-released albums on Bandcamp, culminating in Insane World, his most well-received release to date, highlighting a more personal and experimental side of his artistic vision.
