Biografía
Chinaski brings music and moving images together through the work of Stefan Haag, a Frankfurt-based producer, DJ and visual artist also known as S-F-X. His dancefloor productions favour memorable synthesizer lines, while his interest in older equipment and its sounds connects them to a wider audiovisual practice. A close relationship with Robert Johnson led to releases on its label and a residency beginning in 2014; his live debut followed there in 2015. He has also released with Running Back, Omnidisc, Bordello A Parigi and Kitjen. Collaborations with Curses put Haag’s instrumental production alongside his collaborator’s lyrics, while S-F-X gives his less dance-oriented material a separate home.
