From Nottingham's council estates to the global dance music scene, MistaJam's journey has been remarkable. Starting in local youth clubs and community studios, he's now one of the UK's key dance music figures, and stands as one of the most successful Black British Dance music artists of all time.
2023 saw MistaJam focussing on creating his own music. In a world filled with fleeting tunes, his tracks have garnered over half a billion streams. His 2021 hit, 'If You Really Love Me (How Will I Know)', alone has 250 million streams and a BPI Gold certification alone while his remixes are sought after by both underground and mainstream artists.
Releases kicked off with 'Defibrillator' via Noizu’s Techne, followed by 'Nothing Else Matters' under Virgin Music Germany, gaining recognition from headline talents such as Calvin Harris, Todd Terry, and Tiësto. Finding inspiration from the 90’s rave of his youth, some IDs caught the attention of Trick Records' Patrick Topping, who has been rinsing them in his summer sets.
Comfortable in both intimate clubs and large festival stages, behind the decks, MistaJam shines. He takes listeners on a journey through House music's various styles; performing at venues like HÏ IBIZA” (DJ Mag's #1 club 2023) and Pacha, where he held a residency during its iconic Pure Pacha night in the club’s 50th year.
