Biografía
Florian Meindl made his records entirely on a computer before shifting the work onto hardware. He now records long takes off a modular system to one or two stereo channels and mixes them as he goes, and he singles out analogue filters and saturating mixers for a colour he says software cannot supply. The Austrian producer, who works from a Berlin studio, describes his direction as having come round in a circle too: minimal techno begun at sixteen, house absorbed from 2012, then a return to a classic techno sound. A large share of his catalogue sits on FLASH Recordings, the Berlin techno label he runs, and he also operates Riemann Kollektion, a sound-design imprint selling techno samples and loops. His fourth album, Nonlinear Times, appeared in February 2019.
